The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out a massive 24-hour search operation in Delhi targeting Inderjit Singh Yadav, his associates, and entities, including Apollo Green Energy Ltd. Officials recovered cash worth ₹5.12 crore, jewellery valued at approximately ₹8.8 crore, and property documents linked to assets worth around ₹35 crore.

The operation, which began on December 30, focused on premises in Sarvpriya Vihar linked to Aman Kumar, an associate of Yadav. The investigation is ongoing, with several more premises being searched.

High-Value Seizures in Money Laundering Case

ED officials said the raids were part of a probe into money laundering activities orchestrated by Yadav and his network. Along with cash and jewellery, investigators recovered bags of cheque books and documents indicating ownership of luxury cars and properties.

“The income so generated by Inderjit Singh Yadav from these fraudulent ways running into crores was allegedly used for acquisition of immovable properties, luxury cars, and maintaining luxurious life while declaring minimum income tax returns,” a senior ED official said.

Yadav’s Criminal Allegations

Yadav, currently believed to be operating from the UAE, is at the center of a wide-ranging criminal investigation. He faces more than 15 FIRs and chargesheets filed across Haryana and Uttar Pradesh under the Arms Act, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the Indian Penal Code.

He is accused of extortion, coercive loan settlements of private financiers, armed intimidation, and earning substantial proceeds through these activities. Yadav allegedly used these funds to maintain a luxurious lifestyle while minimizing declared income.

Apollo Green Energy and Corporate Connections

The investigation also involves Apollo Green Energy Ltd and other associated corporate entities. ED officials said these firms allegedly borrowed large sums from private financiers in Haryana, using post-dated cheques as security. Yadav allegedly enforced repayment through threats and coercive measures, often involving armed associates.

The probe indicates that settlements of high-value loans ran into hundreds of crores, with organized crime syndicates abroad also reportedly involved in these operations.

Luxury Assets and Fraudulent Earnings

Documents recovered in the raids indicate that Yadav’s earnings were channeled into luxury cars, high-value properties, and other assets. ED officials described the scope of these acquisitions as being funded largely through illegal means.

“The income so generated by Inderjit Singh Yadav from these fraudulent ways running into crores was allegedly used for acquisition of immovable properties, luxury cars, and maintaining luxurious life while declaring minimum income tax returns,” the official reiterated.

Next Steps in the Investigation

ED is continuing its searches across multiple locations to uncover further assets and evidence. Investigators are also looking into the network of accomplices and associated companies involved in money laundering and high-value loan settlements.

Authorities are closely monitoring Yadav’s activities abroad to coordinate with international agencies for his possible extradition and to recover illicit assets.
