Drowning In Corruption: Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary Slams Lalu Prasad’s Family

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has once again leveled serious accusations against Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family, asserting they are deeply involved in corrupt activities. He further claimed that the bodyguards of Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi are being misused, leading to repeated disruptions at polling booths.

While addressing the media, Choudhary said, “The entire Lalu Prasad family is mired in corruption. Public order is being consistently undermined. There needs to be an investigation into the misuse of Lalu Prasad’s and Rabri Devi’s bodyguards, particularly concerning the Chapra incident.”

Earlier, on May 19, Choudhary launched a strong attack on former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, accusing him of nepotism and prioritizing his family within the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He contrasted this with the BJP’s approach, which he claimed is focused on grassroots engagement and equal treatment for all members, free from nepotism.

“RJD depends on caste politics and controls only about 20 to 25 percent of the vote. Even if they win, Lalu Ji will only pass power within his family. When RJD was in government, Tejashwi was the Deputy Chief Minister, and in opposition, he led the opposition with his mother by his side. Lalu Ji will never grant significant positions to outsiders,” Choudhary asserted.

Bihar, with its 40 Lok Sabha constituencies, plays a critical role in Indian politics. The elections are being conducted in seven phases. The RJD, part of the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance), is contesting 26 seats. In contrast, the NDA, comprising the BJP and JD(U), will contest 17 and 16 seats, respectively. The election results are set to be announced on June 4.
