Delhi: Monsoon Brings Relief To City’s Residents, Similar Conditions Expected, Predicts IMD

The National Capital Delhi witnessed heavy rainfall on Thursday. Thus, providing huge relief to residents from an ongoing heatwave.

The Weather department IMD, has predicted similar conditions for upcoming seven days, forecasting cloudy skies and varying rains accompanied by gusty winds.

Moreover, IMD predicts that city temperature will stay in the range between 38°C and 29°C on June 27.

Furthermore, weather department also forecasts very light rain and thunderstorms with fast winds. As for June 28, light to moderate monsoon or thunderstorms with similar temperature prevailing like the previous day, with wind speed of 35 km/h.

Likely on June 29, the weather will be slightly cold. Ranging between high of 38°C to a low of 29°C.

As for June 30, temperature will decrease to 34°C, with moderate to heavy rain and strong gusts of wind anticipated.

Overall, monsoon is expected to reach further into Northwest India, Thus, providing major relief to residents from the prevailing heat.

But residents should keep a lookout of traffic congestion before coming out of their homes, as these rainy conditions will cause traffic disruption. Thus, increasing footfall of vehicles in road due to water accumulation.

Also. people are also advised to not venture into area prone to waterlogging.
