Rainfall hit several areas of Delhi early Sunday, providing relief from the humid conditions. Light rain also affected parts of Shastri Bhavan in Delhi. On August 24, continuous rainfall in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain district caused the Shipra River to rise, leading to the submersion of various temples at Ram Ghat on its banks.
In response, the district administration has set up barricades on roads leading to the river ghats to prevent accidents. Prior to this, on August 23, Delhi experienced severe waterlogging and significant traffic congestion following heavy rainfall in the city.
