The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is getting ready to reveal approximately 300 key officials who have strong ties to Delhi’s local politics as part of the final phase of its restructuring of the state unit in anticipation of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.”
Party insiders have indicated that the appointment process is underway for 14 district presidents and 272 mandal or block presidents. Their names are anticipated to be disclosed in the upcoming days. These individuals will have the responsibility of not only growing the party’s grassroots support but also executing its election strategy in both the Lok Sabha polls and the Delhi Assembly elections.
“These officials serve as the party’s direct link to the grassroots level, including polling booths, and are the ones responsible for conducting outreach activities to reach ordinary citizens,” a senior party leader said.
“They will not only execute the election strategy outlined by the national leadership but will also share up the chain crucial inputs that they gather from the ground regarding potential candidates and core issues that need to be focused on,” the leader added.
The BJP had, in August, initiated the restructuring of its state unit, and earlier this month, it unveiled the ‘Mission 2024’ initiative. As part of this effort, the party is actively seeking to enlist more volunteers in Delhi.
Aimed specifically at adding working professionals in the National Capital Region (NCR) to its support network, this initiative is particularly welcoming to YouTubers, social media enthusiasts, as well as those who want to associate with the BJP offline.
