All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi refuted reports on Friday claiming a shortage of items in its Cardio Thoracic Centre.
In a statement issued on reports of shortage of items and stalling of services in its Cardio-Thoracic Centre, AIIMS Delhi said, “There were some reports regarding shortage of items and delay in procedures at the Cardio-Thoracic Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi. There is no shortage of any items.”
The statement further said that AIIMS, New Delhi, is committed to following the Central government’s guidelines regarding the procurement of goods.
“However, surgical procedures and interventions are being carried out as per schedule in the Cardio Thoracic Center, and there is no shortage of any items,” the institute said.
