COVID-19: 3 deaths, 483 new cases in Maharashtra in past 24 hours

Covid-19 infection caused three deaths in Maharashtra on Wednesday, according to state health department authorities.
According to officials, there were 483 new cases reported in the past day, bringing the overall number of active cases in Maharashtra up to 2506 as of March 29. The state presently has a recovery rate of 98.15 percent.
Additionally, health authorities disclosed that RT-PCR tests are routinely conducted at the airport.
43 of the 35639 patients who underwent RT-PCR screening at the airport have thus far tested positive, according to authorities.
It should be mentioned that the positivity rate in Maharashtra was 1.05 percent four weeks ago, but it is now 6.15 percent for the week. (March 22 to March 28).
With 20.05% and 17.47%, respectively, the districts of Solapur and Sangli presently have the highest positivity rate for Covid 19 infections.
In the state, 17.79 lakh doses of the Covid vaccine have been given.
According to a government announcement on Thursday, a total of 3016 new COVID cases were reported nationwide in the previous 24 hours, with a daily positive rate of 2.73 percent. At the same time, 15,784 doses of COVID vaccine were given out.
As per the press statement, 1,10,522 tests were carried out the previous day, bringing the overall number of tests to 92.14 crores.
Rajesh Bhushan, the Union Health Secretary, presided over a high-level meeting earlier on Monday with the participation of the States and UTs via video conference to review the readiness status of the complete spectrum of management of the COVID-19 pandemic in light of the increase in cases.
Additionally present at the review conference were Dr. Rajiv Bahl, Secretary of the Department of Health Research, and Dr. V K Paul, Member (Health), NITI Aayog.
