Col. Qureshi Says ‘We Hit Terror’s Backbone’ in Operation Sindoor

India launched Operation Sindoor in direct retaliation against the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, where terrorists killed 26 civilians, most of whom were tourists. Col. Qureshi confirmed that, within 48 hours, the Indian Army swiftly targeted and destroyed nine major terror camps in Pakistan and PoK. The operation aimed to eliminate terrorist infrastructure and deliver justice to the victims.

As a result, the Indian government declared a national emergency, suspended air travel to northern airports, and increased monitoring of Indian airspace. With the situation unfolding, India remains on high alert, prioritizing civilian safety and regional stability.

Operation Sindoor: A Quick Response to Terror

Only two days after the Pahalgam attack, the Indian Army conducted precision attacks across the border. The assassins had attacked innocent civilians, and shockwaves ran through the nation. Operation Sindoor was not just revenge—it was a targeted strike to destroy active terror centers.

Indian troops struck nine high-value terror camps, such as targets in Bahawalpur, which is the Jaish-e-Mohammed stronghold. The Army did not target Pakistani military installations. This focused on terror groups, refraining from wider escalation.

Col Qureshi: ‘We Hit Terror’s Backbone’

Col Sophia Qureshi updated the media on the mission. “We identified targets in Pakistan and PoK to shatter the backbone of terrorism,” she added. She underscored that the operation sought to bring justice to the perpetrators of the Pahalgam massacre by decimating the terror infrastructure behind the carnage.

India Sends a Strong Regional Signal

This swift and targeted action sent a strong message to enemy forces. India reaffirmed its zero-tolerance approach to cross-border terrorism. The raid also demonstrated its willingness to act decisively when civilian lives are threatened.

The safety of the people has been paramount for the government. Operations from major airports such as Srinagar, Jammu, and Amritsar are not taking off. Authorities have asked people to remain vigilant and keep an eye on official reports. Monitoring of Indian airspace is unabated.
