Former Union Minister and MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal conducted a thank-you tour in the villages of the Bathinda constituency, expressing gratitude to the local population. During her visit to villages including Dhola, Tharajwala, Lalbai, Channu, Bidowali, and Badal, she thanked the residents for their support and acknowledged their significant contributions.
In her media interaction, Badal sharply criticised the Punjab government, accusing Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of neglecting Punjab’s needs and being preoccupied with fulfilling Arvind Kejriwal’s agenda. She highlighted the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, mentioning that gangsters are conducting interviews from prison and the rise in drug-related deaths among youth. Additionally, she noted that farmers continue to protest, and the central government has halted development projects in Punjab due to the state’s conditions.
Badal pointed out the increasing incidents of desecration at temples and gurdwaras, suggesting that the law and order situation has collapsed under the current administration. She emphasised that Chief Minister Mann appears indifferent to Punjab’s problems. Furthermore, she called on the central government to ensure that the sacred Sri Guru Granth Sahib, currently held by the Qatari authorities, is returned to the Sikh community with due respect.
