Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, emphasised the importance of holding monthly house meetings in every municipal corporation, allowing every councillor to raise their ward issues. He suggested fixing a date for these meetings to facilitate better organisation. Presiding over a review meeting of the ULB Department at the Karnal Municipal Corporation office, the Chief Minister stated that as representatives of the public, it is their primary responsibility to address and resolve the grievances of the people who have elected them to their respective positions.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the officers of the Urban Local Bodies Department to expedite the work of rectifying errors in property IDs not only in Karnal but across the state. He urged the public to self-certify their properties on the Property ID portal, as it is a simple process that can be done through mobile logging. The Chief Minister instructed the officers not to reject any complaint regarding Property ID without proper rectification.
Regarding infrastructure development, the Chief Minister emphasised that no work of water, sewerage, streets, or drains should remain incomplete in any ward, stating that the government has ample budgetary resources. He assured that if required, additional funds would be provided.
The CM highlighted the fast pace of approving unapproved colonies across the state and stated that the approval process for 36 colonies in Karnal under the Municipal Corporation is currently in progress.
Mayor Renu Bala Gupta praised Chief Minister Manohar Lal for transforming the public service delivery system in the state and leading various development projects in the city. She expressed that the ongoing development works under Karnal Municipal Corporation are being carried out transparently. Regular house meetings are organised in Karnal Municipal Corporation where councillors raise issues related to their wards, which are promptly addressed.
