CM Adityanath Shares Encounter With ‘Maulvi’ In J&K: ‘Yogi Sahab Ram Ram’

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the trip in Jammu and Kashmir is a fine example of the comprehensive changes wrought by the abrogation of Article 370. He presented this as an example during an election rally in Faridabad. Here, he quoted a Muslim Maulvi who greeted him with “Ram Ram”.

“I was in Jammu and Kashmir for the last two days for the assembly elections. It was raining there, so I went straight inside the airport. A man greeted me saying, ‘Yogi Sahab Ram Ram’. Later, I came to know that he was a Maulvi. I was shocked to hear ‘Ram Ram’ from a Maulvi,” said Adityanath.

He credited this change to Article 370 abrogation, saying that “This is the effect of the abrogation of Article 370. Those who used to challenge India’s sovereignty are now saying ‘Ram Ram’. The crowd responded enthusiastically with chants of ‘Jai Shree Ram’.

Adityanath also expressed confidence that people might be seen reciting “Hare Rama, Hare Krishna” in the streets in a stronger India as long as that stronger India is being made by a strong BJP.

He also said that no rioting incidents took place in Uttar Pradesh during his period of seven and a half years.

“Do you know if riots have taken place in Uttar Pradesh, your neighboring state, during the past seven and a half years? he asked to which his audience responded with a strict “No”.

He added that riots were a regular feature before this period. There were riots almost every two days.

The polls for the 90-member Haryana Assembly will take place on October 5, and the results will come on October 8. The ECI had actually fixed October 1 as the date for the polls, which it later changed to October 5. It also advanced the counting day for the twin states of Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir from October 4 to October 8.
BJP’s Haryana Manifesto

The BJP, seeking a third consecutive term in the Haryana Assembly, promised a lot: ₹2,100 per month for every woman, two lakh government jobs, and scooters for rural female college students.

In terms of procurement at MSP, the Bharatiya Janata Party has vowed to procure 24 crops, besides the existing 14 at MSP. The Haryana cabinet last month cleared buying of 10 more crops besides these at MSP.
