Following a cloudburst around 10:30 am, landslides occurred in various parts of Itanagar and nearby areas, accompanied by flooding along several stretches of NH-415, according to an official from the Disaster Management Department. Numerous vehicles were stranded on this vital highway, crucial for the state capital’s connectivity.
The district administration issued advisories urging people to avoid rivers and areas prone to landslides. With heavy rains continuing, residents were advised to relocate to safer locations. Additionally, the district administration has established seven relief camps for those affected.
