Brahman Sansad advocates unity, proposes reforms at Panchkula meet

In a recent meeting in Panchkula, key figures from the Brahmin community convened at the Brahman Sansad, a platform designed to bolster the community’s social, economic, and political footing. This gathering at the Indradhanush Auditorium saw participation from significant Brahmin community members, including political figures and members of the Sant Samaj (Saint Community).
The attendees, a medley of community leaders and influential individuals like Shri Santanand Ji Maharaj, Mahamandaleshwar Vikas Giri Ji, and Giri Ji Maharaj, emphasised the importance of unity among community members. The political presence was palpable with the likes of former Union Minister Vinod Sharma, Haryana Cabinet Minister Moolchand Sharma, former Education Minister Rambilas Sharma, and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament D.P. Vats, among others.
The Brahman Sansad raised three key demands for the benefit of the community: the introduction of EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) job reservation for Brahmin youth, establishing ownership rights of Dauli land, and the creation of a Brahmin Commission. While the leaders expressed support for these demands, BJP and Congress representatives utilised the opportunity to emphasise their political achievements and potential future plans.
Former Union Minister Pandit Vinod Sharma lauded the organisers’ efforts, expressing appreciation for their commitment to the community’s youth. He also suggested relocating the statue of Lord Parashuram, a deity revered by the community, from a traffic roundabout to a more suitable place of worship.
As a part of his address, Sharma urged the BJP to re-establish the EWS reservation, pledging his support to the community when needed. He also expressed commendation for the government’s decision to eliminate interviews from the recruitment process for Group C and D posts.
The event was orchestrated by community leaders from various regions, including Kuldeep Kaushik, Neeraj Vats, Ravi Atri, Sunil Dixit, Anil Kumar, and Anand Sharma.
