BR Ambedkar urged us to march on the road to unity, says Rahul Gandhi on Constitution Day

On the occasion of Constitution Day, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi emphasised the significance of the Constitution and the Father of the Indian Constitution, Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, who pushed us to march toward unity. He tweeted a video of Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatama Gandhi, and others signing the Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949. The fundamental rights accorded to each and every person in the nation were also displayed in the video.

“Babasaheb urged us to march on the road to unity. I will walk that road long enough, until every word of our Constitution is upheld, and every citizen stands protected by fairness and justice,” he said in his tweet.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced several initiatives for the e-court project earlier in the day while speaking at the Supreme Court’s Constitution Day program. He noted that the day is observed to remember the Constitution’s adoption by the Constituent Assembly in 1949.

On this special occasion, PM Modi thanked the many people who have contributed to the development and expansion of the Indian Constitution over the past 70 decades, including members of the Legislature, the Judiciary, and the Executive.

The Prime Minister emphasised that, given the current state of the world, the world is hopeful in light of India’s expanding economy and positive worldwide reputation. India is moving forward with full force and taking pride in its variety, he claimed, despite all initial concerns about its stability. He attributed this achievement to the Constitution. The Prime Minister continued by referring to the first three words of the Preamble, “We the People,” and asserting that they serve as a call, a trust, and an oath. According to him, “India has been the world’s mother of democracy, and this spirit of the Constitution is the spirit of India.” The Constitution “has embraced all the cultural and moral emotions of the nation in the modern era.”
