On Saturday, police in Lucknow reported receiving a bomb threat through the emergency helpline, claiming bombs had been placed at three locations in the city. The threat involved Hussainganj metro station, Charbagh station, and Alambagh. However, after investigation, the police confirmed that the threat was a hoax.
Manisha Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) for Central Lucknow, stated that the caller had alerted authorities about bomb placements at the three locations. Following the threat, a dog squad and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) were deployed to check the sites. The checks confirmed that the information was false. “We received information about a bomb at Hussainganj Metro Station, Charbagh Station, and Alambagh. The BDDS and dog squad inspected the locations, and everything was cleared,” Singh said in a statement to reporters.
