An overnight blackout has been imposed in Punjab’s Jalandhar, as sightings of drones in the city have been reported. The Jalandhar DC (district commissioner) called upon the people to stay calm and follow the blackout procedure while the security forces are investigating the issue.
The blackout was ordered as a precautionary measure while authorities evaluate the threat that the drones could pose. Local security forces are keeping the situation under close watch to guarantee safety and to avert any potential security loopholes.
