BJP targets 51% vote share, more than 200 seats in Maharashtra Assembly

The BJP in Maharashtra has set a target of 51% vote share in the Lok Sabha and assembly elections, according to state party chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule.

Bawankule spoke with the media after a state executive meeting here on Thursday. The meeting was attended by BJP President JP Nadda. According to Bawankule, all leaders and party workers were present at the meeting.

“During the meeting, we resolved to work towards getting 51 percent vote share in Maharashtra. I am hopeful that after this meeting, our leaders and party workers will go back with new energy to prepare for the upcoming Lok Sabha assembly and local body elections in the state. We have set a goal to get 51 percent total vote share and more than 200 seats out of total 288 assembly seats,” he said.

He stated that the BJP and Shiv Sena, led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, will contest all 48 Lok Sabha seats and 288 assembly seats.

“Our fight is against Congress NCP and Uddhav group. We have kept a target of 51 per cent vote share in the state under MahaVijay2024 mission. We will reach out to voters through Ghar Chalo Sampark Abhiyaan,” he said.
