BJP plans massive outreach for 2024 Lok shabha elections

On the occasion of completion of 9 years of Modi government, the PM will spearhead the outreach program which will begin from 30 May. On 23 June, the PM is likely to address 10 lakh booth workers on the occasion of the death anniversary of Syama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of Jan Sangh.

The 30-day outreach programme titled “Maha Jansampark Abhiyaan” is set to commence on 30 May, coinciding with the completion of nine years of the Modi government, and will continue until 30 June. This month-long event will feature three significant occasions. On 21 June, which is celebrated as International Yoga Day, BJP leaders nationwide will organize yoga sessions. On 23 June, the death anniversary of Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Prime Minister Modi will deliver a virtual rally, reaching out to 10 lakh BJP booths. Lastly, on 25 June during the Prime Minister’s “Mann ki Baat” program, BJP leaders will host seminars with intellectuals and watch a documentary on the Emergency imposed by late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on the same day in 1975.

The campaign was supposed to begin from 15 May to 15 June but it has been rescheduled from 30 May, the day Modi took oath for his second term as prime minister in 2019, and will continue till June 30, as per the source information.
As many as 250 leaders including BJP national president, CMs, central ministers will be given charge of Lok Sabha constituencies. They have been divided in to 125 teams and will tour 543 Lok Sabha constituencies giving two days to one Lok Sabha constituency each. They will have to spend a total of 8 days into these Lok Sabhas. Additionally, 51 public meetings by senior leaders and connecting with one lakh families of well-known personalities are expected to be part of the BJP’s massive month-long outreach exercise to mark the ninth anniversary of its government at the Centre.

The BJP is gearing up for the Lok Sabha polls next year as it seeks Modi’s reelection as prime minister for a third straight term, a feat achieved by no leader other than first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
