BJP MP slams Udhayanidhi Stalin: “Leaders from INDIA bloc have low mentality”

BJP MP Jagannath Sarkar said on Thursday that the leaders of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) have “low mentality” in response to DMK minister Udhayanidhi Stalin’s statement regarding President Droupadi Murmu not receiving an invitation to the inauguration of the new Parliament building.

This comes after Udhayanidhi Stalin on Wednesday claimed that President Droupadi Murmu was not invited during the inauguration of the new building of the Parliament as she is a “widow and belongs to the tribal community”.
“The new Parliament building was inaugurated. They (BJP) got the Adheenams from Tamil Nadu for the inauguration, but the President of India was not invited because she is a widow and is from a tribal community. Is this Sanatan Dharma? We will continue to raise our voice against it,” he said.

When questioned about Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on the Other Backward Classes (OBC) in the government, Sarkar responded that the BJP does not engage in this type of politics. This style of politics is not practiced by the BJP. The Home Minister has provided all relevant information regarding the number of OBC people in this country. The OBC community is where our Prime Minister hails from, the BJP MP said. On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi said he supported the Women’s Reservation Bill but added that it was “incomplete” because it didn’t include a quota for Other Backward Classes (OBC).
