BJP, JJP to rejig poll strategy after Karnataka clear result

Following the debacle in the Karnataka assembly polls, the ruling BJP in Haryana is mulling over the party’s position ahead of the forthcoming polls and in view of the prevailing political scenario, there has been a lot of stir in the politics of the state. Thus, the discussions for the existing alliance and the future of the alliance between the ruling and its partner Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) continue to remain in political spheres.
A few days ago, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had met the party high command and his statement that the BJP is the main ruling party and sole authority to take final call led to political ruckus in the state politics.
Now, the JJP and the Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala have met BJP national president JP Nadda to discuss the evolving political scenario in the state. This assumes significance as Assembly and Parliamentary polls in Haryana are scheduled in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
Political experts are of the opinion that the BJP may have to mull over its current strategy on alliances. It is worth mentioning that the JJP, which won 10 seats in the 2019 assembly polls, had extended support to the BJP. Keeping in view the new political developments, opposite faction are having a close eye on every aspect.
