What was supposed to be a jovial and quiet breakfast ride was turned into hell for a pack of eleven bikers in Gurugram when an allegedly drunken man gang attacked them, vandalized their luxury motorbikes, and threatened their lives. The attack has turned viral on the internet, creating public outcry and calls for justice.
The assault took place when the bikers were traveling from Ambience Mall to Panchgaon in Manesar. Hardik Sharma, one of the badly hurt riders, recounts the experience and his efforts afterwards to track the accused through Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.
“They Hit Me With an Iron Bat” — Biker Recalls Horror
“They hit me with an iron bat. I survived because of my helmet,” Hardik Sharma informed NDTV, narrating the brutality he suffered. He continued, “They also said that they will shoot me if I shoot their videos.” The gang was intercepted near Dwarka Expressway by a black Scorpio car that swerved perilously close to the bikers’ vehicles.

“They were drunk and had glasses in their hands,” Sharma said. “They got out of the vehicle and started hitting one of my friends. When we intervened, they started damaging our bikes. Meanwhile, some of my friends fled the scene to avoid damage to the bikes, as they are very expensive. Each bike costs around Rs 20 to Rs 25 lakh.”
The bikers, who were all on high-end bikes, were attacked without provocation, Sharma said. “I also left, but a friend was left behind. So, I stopped my bike and went back on foot to save him. But by the time I could reach him, he had left, and one of the drunk men took my bike. They started damaging it. They hit me with an iron bat. I survived because of my helmet. They kicked me, hit my hand with the bat,” he said.
AI Tools Assist in Identification of Accused, But Arrests Not Yet Made
While the physical bruises, Sharma volunteered to identify the accused through some sophisticated AI-based facial recognition software. “We use some paid AIs on which if you upload photos or videos, it can lead you to the social media of the person in them if they have a public profile. So, we found them on Instagram and we also gave the police the details. We showed them the media of the gym where they worked out,” he clarified.
But he was disappointed at the slow progress in the case. “Even after all this, there have been no arrests,” Sharma said. He also wondered at the motive for the random attack. “I don’t even know why they started hitting us. They didn’t say anything, just started attacking us. I also want them to pay for the damage to my bike.”
FIR Filed After 12-Hour Struggle Across Police Stations
Sharma complained that it took 12 hours for the First Information Report (FIR) to be registered. “I had to go to several police stations as they were telling me that the area doesn’t fall under their jurisdiction. The whole process was going on from 8 am and completed at 8 pm. Then the FIR was lodged.”
Apart from his injuries, Sharma added that his bicycle was also severely damaged. “It’s a very expensive bike. It costs Rs 11 lakh. They damaged the bike and damaged the accessories worth Rs 3 to 4 lakh that I installed. The damage rounds up to around Rs 4 to Rs 5 lakh,” he added.
Police Start Probe, Suspect Identified
Gurugram Police informed that the accused were identified through CCTV cameras and attempts are being made to arrest them. Sharma’s AI-based identification and the viral videos have reportedly been central to the investigation.
While the pursuit of justice goes on, Sharma and his group of bikers are demanding action and accountability. The violent attack not only resulted in monetary loss but also left a traumatic experience on what was supposed to be a joyful ride and bonding experience.
