Bihar: Naxalite Arvind Bhuniya arrested with his 2 associates from Gaya

Gaya District Police has got great success under which Naxalite zonal commander Arvind Bhuniya, who was carrying a reward of lakhs, was arrested along with his associates in Gaya.

Arms have also been recovered from them. The Jharkhand government had declared a reward of 10 lakh and the Bihar government had declared a reward of 50 thousand rupees on Arvind Bhuniya.

Arvind Bhuniya is the zonal commander of the Kauleshwari Zone of the banned Naxalite organization CPI Maoist who had executed many Naxalite incidents in Bihar and Jharkhand, was always dodging the police for long time.

In the recent days also, the police had raided its temporary hideout in Roshanganj police station area. But he had escaped taking advantage of the forest. Arvind Bhuiyan was arrested from Viraj village under Sohail police station area of ​​Gaya district which is his maternal grandfather’s location.

Although he had settled in his own house. He had come here to meet his relatives.  Gaya SSP Ashish Kumar Bharti told that after the top leader of this area was killed by the Naxalite leader, he was given the responsibility of zonal commander. He told that Arvind Bhuniya has carried out many Naxalite subversive actions.

Police had received information that he had come here to meet his family members. On the basis of this information, raids were conducted with the help of COBRA, CRPF and local police after which Arvind Bhuniya and Kapil Bharti were arrested.

On his tip-off, later his associate Yogendra Bharti was also arrested from another village. Pistol, loaded gun, huge quantity of live cartridges and mobile phone have been recovered from them.
