What Is ‘Operation Sindoor’?
‘Operation Sindoor’ is a coordinated military offensive launched by the Indian Armed Forces. It targeted terror launchpads, training facilities, and support infrastructure across the Line of Control in PoJK and Pakistan.
Defence sources revealed that these locations had long served as bases for cross-border attacks on Indian soil. Militants based there have been responsible for targeting civilians and soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir.
How the Operation Was Conducted
The Indian Army used high-precision artillery and aerial platforms to hit the terror sites. While officials have kept the exact locations and timing confidential, sources say the strikes followed credible intelligence.
Recent weeks saw increased cross-border activity. Intelligence reports warned of terror groups preparing for new attacks. This prompted Indian forces to act.
Rising Threats Prompt Military Response
This operation comes at a time when Jammu and Kashmir has seen a spike in infiltration attempts and militant attacks. In recent months, several civilians and soldiers have lost their lives.
India has repeatedly raised Pakistan’s involvement in cross-border terrorism at global forums. ‘Operation Sindoor’ is seen as part of a broader strategy to dismantle terror networks and prevent future assaults.
A Message to Pakistan and Terror Groups
With these strikes, India has sent a clear message. It will not allow terror groups to operate with impunity from across the border.
A senior Indian official stated, “This is not just a military operation but a message. Terror camps will not be spared, no matter where they are located.”
Public Shows Strong Support
The public response in Jammu and Kashmir shows growing unity and support for the armed forces. Many locals believe that lasting peace can only come if terror hubs across the LoC are dismantled.
The Army has assured citizens that it remains alert. Officials emphasized that India is prepared to take further action if needed. The safety of Indian citizens remains the top priority.
