Bengaluru Woman Strangled Her Autistic Daughter In Rage

A woman was arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly killing her three-year-old autistic daughter. The incident occurred on Thursday, with a police officer stating that the woman was depressed due to her daughter’s autism.

“In a fit of rage, the woman strangled the girl around 12.30 pm on Thursday. When the child stopped moving, the mother immediately took her to a hospital where she was declared dead,” the officer said.

The woman lived in an apartment complex with her two daughters, including the autistic child and her twin sister. She had previously worked in a private company but had to quit her job to care for her children. Her husband, a software engineer, is currently based in Norway.

A case has been registered under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
