In a shocking incident at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport, a man was fatally attacked with a machete in the parking area of Terminal 1 on Wednesday. The accused, identified as Ramesh, has been arrested, and an investigation is underway.
The victim, Ramakrishna, was a trolley operator at the airport. Initial findings suggest the murder was driven by personal revenge. According to reports, Ramakrishna was involved in an affair with Ramesh’s wife. In response, Ramesh purchased a machete and concealed it in a backpack. After monitoring Ramakrishna’s schedule, Ramesh waited in the airport parking area and followed him to a nearby washroom, where he attacked and killed him by slashing his throat.
Bengaluru police noted that Ramesh managed to bring the machete into the airport by traveling on a BMTC bus, where his baggage was not checked. Authorities also revealed that Ramesh had initially planned to carry out the murder in his village, but that plan fell through.
