Badaun Double Murder Case: ‘If you commit crime, you will suffer’ says Mother of accused Men

The mother of Sajid, who stands accused of the tragic killing of two boys in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun, has expressed sympathy for the victims’ family and acknowledged that her son faced the consequences of his actions. Sajid was reportedly shot dead by police during an encounter after he allegedly fired at officers while attempting to flee. His brother Javed, who is also implicated in the crime, is currently evading authorities.

Najin, the mother, conveyed her bewilderment regarding what could have motivated her sons to commit such a heinous act. She stated, “I don’t know what was going on in their heads. They had their breakfast and left home around 7 am. I don’t know what happened. There was no tension at home.” According to her, the brothers had operated a barber shop in the victims’ vicinity for an extended period without any known conflicts. She added, “They had no enmity with anyone. If we bought anything from the locality, they would deliver it to our home.”

Expressing remorse for the victims’ family, Najin remarked that her son Sajid had faced the repercussions of his deeds. “If they did not do this, they would not face this. What happened to him is only fair. If you commit a crime, you will suffer,” she asserted. Additionally, she disclosed that Sajid’s wife was not expecting a child, contrary to previous reports. “They had two children, but they died.” Najin admitted ignorance regarding Javed’s whereabouts.

On the other hand, Sangita, the mother of the victims, Ayush and Ahaan, recounted that Sajid had requested a loan of ₹5,000 under the pretext of his wife’s imminent delivery. After providing him with the money and serving him tea, Sajid allegedly took her sons to the terrace and fatally attacked them. While Piyush, the boys’ brother, was also assaulted, he managed to escape unharmed.

Following the brutal incident, Sajid purportedly attempted to flee with his brother Javed, who was waiting outside. However, local residents apprehended Sajid and turned him over to the police, while Javed successfully fled the scene. Subsequently, Sajid allegedly opened fire on the police, resulting in his demise in retaliatory gunfire. Enraged locals later set fire to his shop.

Contrary to speculations, the boys’ father, Vinod, refuted claims of any dispute between him and Sajid.

Authorities have initiated legal proceedings and are actively searching for Javed, alongside questioning Sajid’s father.
