Several Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty, visited Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai late Saturday night to offer their condolences to the family of former state minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique, who was fatally shot by unidentified assailants. Actor Zaheer Iqbal also arrived at the hospital to console the grieving family.

The actors expressed their sympathy and support during this difficult time. May God give them strength to brave this difficult time.”

Siddique, a three-time MLA from Bandra West who had recently joined Ajit Pawar’s NCP after leaving the Congress earlier this year, was shot on Saturday evening. Mumbai Additional CP Paramjit Singh Dahiya confirmed that two suspects had been arrested. “The incident occurred around 9:30 pm in Nirmal Nagar. Baba Siddique was taken to Lilavati Hospital after being shot. Two suspects have been arrested, and the Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating the case,” Dahiya told reporters.
