Ayodhya’s Joy Reverberates in Srinagar: Special Puja at Shankaracharya Temple Marks ‘Pran Pratishtha’ Celebrations

As ‘Jai Shri Ram’ chants resonate in Ayodhya, the jubilant atmosphere extends to Srinagar, where thousands flock to the Shankaracharya Temple, uniting in celebrations for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram Lalla at his sacred birthplace. The elation, shared nationwide, is exemplified in Srinagar as devotees from diverse backgrounds come together for a special puja organized by Darma Trust at the historic temple.

The head priest of the Raghunath Temple, Darshan Kumar Sharma, expressed the significance of the day, emphasizing the 500-year wait and the Supreme Court’s decision affirming the construction of a grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya. “Shri Ram-ji transcends all geographical boundaries. He belongs to everyone,” he declared, detailing a special puja at the ancient Raghunath Temple in Barbarshah, Srinagar, marking the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Prabhu Shri Ram Lalla at his majestic Ayodhya abode.

The event, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust, drew participants from various backgrounds, showcasing unity and communal amity. Dr. Karan Singh-ji, the trustee of the historic temple, extended his good wishes for peace, happiness, and prosperity in Kashmir. A Havan, a Hindu ritual for peace and brotherhood worldwide, was held, reinforcing the theme of joy and harmony.

A devotee, journeying from Malaysia to partake in the celebrations at the Shankaracharya Temple, struggled to contain her overwhelming joy. Expressing gratitude for being present on this historic occasion, she likened the experience to visiting family and loved ones, noting the rarity of such celebrations in Malaysia.

Speaking on the grand opening of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the devotee described it as a momentous occasion in history, expressing a profound sense of empowerment among fellow celebrants. The widespread joy and festivities encapsulate the essence of unity, devotion, and the historic ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony in Ayodhya.
