The situation began when a customer withdrew Rs 300 from the ATM and quickly became suspicious upon examining the notes. After further inspection, he confirmed they were counterfeit. Shortly thereafter, another individual withdrew Rs 400 and faced the same issue, leading both to rush to the nearby police station for assistance.

A crowd soon gathered outside the ATM, intrigued by the unusual incident. However, when the victims reported the issue to the police, they allegedly encountered indifference and were sent away without any action taken.

This incident has raised serious concerns among residents, who are now wary of the safety and reliability of ATMs in the area. So far, there has been no clarification from the bank or the ATM company regarding the issue, which has only heightened public anxiety about the potential circulation of counterfeit currency. Local authorities have yet to comment on the situation.
