As LoP, it’s my duty to amplify united voice of I.N.D.I.A.: Rahul

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of ruling the country with an iron fist for 10 years ‘wielding his package of fear’ that has ripped apart the soul of India fundamentally contradicting what all religions preach – ‘daro mat, darao mat’ and vowed that as the Leader of the Opposition, it is his duty to amplify the united voice of INDIA.
He also said that he expects the government to not treat the Opposition as an enemy, and work with it, with courage, love, and affection – for the betterment of 140 crore Indians.
In a message posted on his WhatsApp channel, Rahul Gandhi, who is the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha said, “Narendra Modi has ruled with an iron fist for 10 years, wielding his ‘package of fear’. By undemocratically controlling all agencies, institutions, and media, the BJP has instilled fear across society.”
He said that farmers fear draconian laws, students dread paper leaks, youth face the threat of unemployment, small traders crumble under the weight of GST and demonetisation, deshbhakts are shattered by schemes like Agniveer and people of Manipur have been living through hell for over a year.
“This ‘package of fear’ has ripped apart the soul of India, fundamentally contradicting what all religions preach – Daro Mat, Darao Mat (don’t fear, don’t scare),” Rahul Gandhi taking a jibe at the BJP.
He further said that as the Leader of the Opposition, “it is my duty to amplify the united voice of INDIA”.
“We expect the government to not treat the Opposition as an enemy, and work with us, with courage, love, and affection – for the betterment of 140 crore Indians,” the Congress leader, who is a Lok Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh’s Rae Bareli said.
The Congress has been critical of the government on several issues. The Congress has taken up fiery stand after it recently won 99 seats in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections and stopped the BJP to get the majority mark on its own.
The I.N.D.I.A. bloc on its own won 234 seats while the NDA-led by BJP won 293 seats.
