As 2nd round of DU admissions finishes, B.com course draws maximum of applications

In comparison to previous year, when there were 217,653 applications, the university saw a significant increase this year.
According to those involved in the process, Delhi University finished the second round of its undergraduate admissions process on Wednesday night with 245,239 candidates applying for spots at the renowned university.
Applications to the institution increased significantly this year, from 217,653 last year, a 12.7% increase that administrators attribute to more students taking the Common institution Entrance Test (CUET). This year, DU is continuing a practise that was started last year by using CUET scores to decide who gets admitted.On DU’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) webpage, students may choose as many colleges as they pleased. As a result, the same student will have submitted applications to several universities.
Among the most well-liked colleges were Sri Venkateswara College, Dyal Singh College, and Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College.
DU will now focus on determining how many of the applicants are selected for the 71,000 available seats at the university. Just 65,000 students were accepted by the university last year.
Depending on the candidate’s preference, the administration will issue pupils simulated ranks, a provisional position that will determine which college the candidate is admitted to. Based on their category, merit score related to their programme, and the availability of seats, candidates will be assigned slots in institutions.
