Ajit Doval Appointed National Security Advisor For Third Term

Ajit Doval has been reappointed as the National Security Adviser (NSA) for a third term, according to a government order issued on Thursday. His appointment will coincide with the term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi or continue until further orders.

“The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ajit Doval, IPS (Retired), as National Security Adviser with effect from 10.06.2024,” stated the order issued by the Personnel Ministry.

During his tenure, Doval will hold the rank of Cabinet Minister in the Table of Precedence. The specific terms and conditions of his appointment will be detailed separately, the order added.
