Following recent reports of armed suspects spotted in the Akhnoor area, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Jammu zone, Anand Jain, conducted a comprehensive visit to village Raipura on Saturday. Accompanied by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) JSK Jammu, Sunil Gupta, and SSP Jammu, Vinod Kumar, the visit aimed to assess and bolster security measures.
During the visit, the team inspected Police Station Kanachak and later proceeded to the Border Outpost (BOP) Old Kanachak, where they engaged in discussions with the Inspector General of BSF Jammu and other senior BSF officers. The discussions focused on enhancing coordination between police and BSF personnel to fortify security in the region.
ADGP Jain issued a directive to prioritize the investigation of pending cases at Police Station Kanachak. Stressing the need for swift action, he urged officers to meticulously review each case file and expedite investigative processes. “This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the police force in Kanachak, ensuring that unresolved cases receive the attention they require,” ADGP Jain emphasized.
