Accident Claims Five Lives in Telangana, Injures One

Five people tragically lost their lives, and one person was injured when the car they were traveling in lost control and plunged into a lake near Jalalpur village in Bhoodan Pochampally Mandal, Yadadri Bhongir district, Telangana, early Saturday. The victims, all residents of LB Nagar in Hyderabad, were reportedly intoxicated. They had left home late at night and traveled to the village in the early morning to drink fresh toddy.

The deceased have been identified as Vamsi (23), Dignesh (21), Harsha (21), Balu (19), and Vinay (21), while the injured person is Manikanth (21), according to police reports. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, and legal procedures are underway.

The crash occurred when the speeding car veered off the road and plunged into the lake. A police team arrived at the scene, rushed the injured to a hospital, and recovered the bodies, which were sent for postmortem examination. A video from the site showed both police and locals working together to retrieve the car. The bodies will be handed over to the families after completing the necessary formalities.
