The Delhi government has announced a three-day grand Ramlila event for the residents of Delhi, beginning on Saturday, with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urging people to attend. Kejriwal, in a post on social media, declared his attendance at the Ramlila on Sunday and encouraged families to join.
The Ramlila event, organized ahead of the Ram temple consecration ceremony, will take place at the Pyarelal Auditorium near ITO. It features a live three-hour performance by the Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra from 4 pm to 7 pm. The Delhi government has stated that the event is free for everyone.
The AAP alleged that the Centre denied permission to hold the event at Bharat Mandap, citing maintenance issues. Saurabh Bharadwaj, the Delhi Minister, mentioned that the Ramleela would now be organized in Pyarelal Bhawan on January 20-21-22.
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is scheduled for January 22, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to perform rituals. Various activities and events have been planned across India and abroad in the lead-up to the historic ceremony.
