AAP Furious at Ajay Maken, Seeks Action or Congress Removal from INDIA Bloc

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has expressed outrage over Congress’ recent complaint against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of misleading the public with “non-existent” welfare schemes. AAP is also angered by remarks made by Delhi Congress leaders, including Ajay Maken, and has warned that if no action is taken against Maken, it will consult other INDIA bloc parties to remove Congress from the alliance.

The dispute began after Congress filed a complaint against Kejriwal, accusing him of deceiving the public with false promises. The Delhi Congress also released a 12-point “white paper” targeting the AAP and the BJP, alleging mismanagement on issues like pollution and law and order. In a press conference, AICC treasurer Ajay Maken criticized Kejriwal’s failure to implement the Janlokpal anti-corruption ombudsman, calling him “Farziwal” (fraud).

AAP leader Sanjay Singh responded, claiming that Congress was helping the BJP ahead of the Delhi elections. He demanded immediate action against Maken for calling Kejriwal “anti-national.” Singh further accused Congress of preparing its list of candidates in a manner that would harm AAP’s prospects.

The political clash is also tied to a recent controversy over the Delhi government’s proposed women-oriented schemes, including the “Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana.” A Delhi government department clarified that no such schemes had been officially notified, leading the Youth Congress to accuse AAP of making false promises. The AAP has denied the allegations, blaming the BJP for pressuring officials to issue the notices.
