AAP Fields Manish Sisodia from Jangpura, Avadh Ojha from Patparganj in 2nd Candidates List

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday released its second list of candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, fielding former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia from the Jangpura constituency. In addition, Avadh Ojha, a new inductee into the party, has been chosen to contest from Patparganj.

Manish Sisodia, a key figure in the Delhi government, is currently facing multiple charges in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case. Despite the legal challenges, Sisodia remains a prominent member of the AAP and is widely regarded as one of the party’s key strategists.

Avadh Ojha, who joined the AAP recently, will represent the party in Patparganj, a seat currently held by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator, who is seeking re-election. The inclusion of Ojha is seen as part of the party’s efforts to expand its base and appeal to a broader electorate.

This announcement marks the continuation of AAP’s efforts to finalize its candidates ahead of the Assembly elections, which are expected to take place in early 2025. Sisodia’s decision to contest from Jangpura reaffirms AAP’s resolve to maintain a strong presence in constituencies across the capital, particularly in areas with significant AAP support.
