The 53rd GST Council meeting will be conducted on June 22, 2024, at the national capital New Delhi.
‘The 53rd meeting of the GST Council will be held on 22nd June 2024 at New Delhi’ announced GST council on Thursday.
This will be the first meeting conducted since the Lok Sabha elections and Nirmala Sitharaman assuming charge as the finance minister.
But the agenda of the meeting is not yet public amongst council members, but as per News18, the council might discuss various topics like rate rationalization, compliance rules and measures and ITC reforms etc.
Meanwhile, the previous 52nd meeting of GST council was held on October 7, 2023. In the meeting, 28 percent of GST rate was levied on casinos, horse racing and online gaming.
