4 UP Policemen Suspended For Allegedly ‘Planting’ Arms In Youth’s Car To Frame Him

In a shocking turn of events, four UP policemen have been suspended for allegedly planting a pistol in the car of a youth to frame him in a false case, officials revealed on Monday.The incident has ignited widespread outrage and demands for justice.

Dinesh Kumar, the father of the youth named Amit, reported that his son was returning from a function on July 21 when he was stopped by policemen in a market. Kumar claimed that the officers forcibly placed a pistol in Amit’s vehicle, subsequently registering a case against him and sending him to jail.

The incident took place in the Shikarpur police station area. A purported video of the event has surfaced online, showing the policemen removing a weapon from a motorcycle and placing it in the car. This video has led to the immediate suspension of all officers involved.

Senior Superintendent of Police ordered the suspension of the officers as soon as the video came to light. Superintendent of Police (Crime), Rakesh Kumar Mishra, informed reporters that the police station in-charge of Shikarpur, the town outpost in-charge, and two constables have all been suspended.

Mishra also mentioned that a separate report is being prepared regarding two home guards seen in the video. An inquiry report will be sent to the Senior Superintendent of Police for further action.

The swift suspension of the officers involved in the alleged misconduct is a crucial step towards ensuring accountability within the police force. Authorities have assured a thorough investigation into the matter to bring the truth to light and ensure justice is served.
