Two Pakistani commercial flights were seen flying near Lahore on Thursday night while India was actively intercepting incoming drones in the northern region. The Indian government has alleged that these planes were used as shields during the cross-border drone assault.
Flights Used As Cover During Attack
According to official sources, Pakistan did not shut down its airspace despite the launch of Turkish-made drones targeting Indian cities. Instead, it allegedly allowed civilian aircraft to fly during the operation, using them as a strategic cover to reduce the chances of interception.

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight, numbered PIA 306, was spotted close to the international border. The aircraft had departed from Karachi and was en route to Lahore.
Second Flight Also Spotted Near Border
Another flight, ABQ406, also from Karachi to Lahore, was scheduled to land around 10 pm local time. It too was tracked near the border area during the same period as the drone activity.
This suspected use of commercial air traffic during a military drone operation has raised serious concerns about passenger safety and airspace violations under international aviation laws.
