2 Arrested In Baba Siddiqui Murder: Months Long Plot Uncovered

In a significant development in the Baba Siddiqui murder case, Mumbai Police have arrested two suspects—Karnail Singh from Haryana and Dharamraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh. According to police reports, the accused had conducted surveillance on Siddiqui’s home and office for one and a half to two months, closely monitoring his movements. Their presence in Mumbai during this period raises suspicion of a well-planned crime.

Investigation Progresses, Search for Third Suspect Underway

While two suspects are in custody, the search for a third accused is still ongoing. Multiple teams from the Mumbai Crime Branch are actively pursuing leads in the investigation. Despite the progress, some citizens have expressed dissatisfaction with the pace of the inquiry, criticizing the police’s efforts online.

Outrage and Security Concerns After Baba Siddique’s Assassination

Baba Siddiqui was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra East, just 15 days after receiving a death threat. The assassination, which occurred in a busy area near Colgate ground, has sparked widespread outrage, with opposition leaders questioning the state’s ability to ensure safety. Two suspects from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana have been arrested, while the third remains at large. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar have vowed strict action, while opposition figures like KC Venugopal and Priyanka Chaturvedi have criticized the law and order situation in Maharashtra.
