Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut asserted the party’s dominance in Maharashtra, signaling a firm stance in seat-sharing discussions. Raut emphasized Shiv Sena’s stature as the largest party in the state, underlining their historical fight for 23 seats, including Dadra and Nagar Haveli, in the Lok Sabha elections.
In a parallel development, Mamata Banerjee, leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), expressed her intent to go solo in Bengal for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. While affirming the INDIA alliance’s presence nationwide, Mamata declared that only TMC could challenge and defeat the BJP in Bengal.
