Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been included in India’s ODI squad by the All-India Senior Selection Committee for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.

The three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka will start on 10 January. Since September Bumrah has not featured in competitive cricket due to back issues.

“Bumrah was out of cricketing action since September 2022 and was also ruled out of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup due to a back injury. The pacer has undergone rehabilitation and has been declared fit by the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He will be joining the Team India ODI squad soon,” BCCI said in a statement.

Meanwhile, from 3 January to 15 January for three T20Is and three ODIs, Sri Lanka will be touring India. The first match will be played on 3 January 2023 in Mumbai. On 5 January and 7 January, the second and third matches will take place in Pune and Rajkot.

Moreover, for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, the team will be led by all-rounder Hardik Pandya and vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav.
