Students resume classes as schools reopen after enforced pollution break

Due to the extreme air pollution in the nation’s capital, schools were forced to close from November 9 to November 18. However, they reopened on Monday. Students from a school in the Geeta Colony area arrived early this morning to attend classes, accompanied by their parents. This follows the announcement by the Delhi government that on Monday, November 20, 2023, Delhi schools will resume holding regular sessions. A notable drop in pollution levels and an improved Air Quality Index (AQI) are the reasons for the reopening. Because of the bad air quality, the Directorate of Education had earlier this month announced a winter break from November 9–18.
