Police constable dies by suicide in Mumbai

Following an altercation with his “girlfriend” in Mumbai’s Worli neighborhood of Maharashtra, a police constable is said to have committed suicide, according to police on Monday. The purported suicide incident happened at ten o’clock on Sunday night. Mumbai police claimed that just before he died, the constable allegedly sent his girlfriend a picture of a noose, telling her that he intended to hang himself. The deceased, identified as Indrajit Salunkhe, was assigned to the Mumbai Police’s Local Arma Department.
