Chinese brand VIVO launches Y20 AND Y20I in India
Chinese brand Vivo has launched two new budget smartphones under the Y series — Vivo Y20 and Vivo Y20i in India. The company has said that phones are available under Rs 15,000. The two will be available for purchase via retail stores, Vivo India e-store, and other major e-commerce websites starting 28 August. Vivo Y20 has been launched in India for Rs 12,990. The device will be available in two colours — Obsidian Black, Dawn White. The Y20i will be available for purchase starting September 3. The phone has been announced at Rs 11,490 and will be available in Nebule Blue, Dawn White. Both smartphones will sport fairly similar specifications. Y20 and Y20i are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 Mobile Platform processors and support 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. The smartphones also have a sidemounted fingerprint scanner.
Gionee Max launched in India at Rs 5,999
Chinese Smartphone Company, Gionee who has been absent from the Indian smartphone market has now launched Gionee Max in India. The phone will go on sale on the ecommerce platform Flipkart from 30 August. The new model is a budget smartphone, priced at Rs 5,999. The Gionee Max comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and is available in three colour options — Black, Red, and Royal Blue. The phone comes with a massive battery of 5,000 mAh and supports reverse charging. The Gionee Max comes with an octa-core processor, dual rear cameras, and 32GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). The company touts that the phone has up to 28 days standby time, 24 hours of music, 9+ hours movie time, 42 hours of call time and 12 hours of gaming. The phone comes with a 6.1-inch HD+ screen with a resolution of 1,560 x 720 pixels. It is having a 2.5D curved glass screen protection.
Fitbit launches Sense, Versa 3 and Inspire 2
Continuing to expand its wearables portfolio in the country, Fitbit on Wednesday virtually launched three new health-focused products. The company launched Fitbit Sense, the third-gen Versa smartwatches and the Fitbit Inspire 2. According to the company, all of the devices include a slew of sensors to help users track ‘key trends in your health and wellbeing’. Fitbit’s sense features an EDA sensor to enable users to measure their stress levels. The company touts that Sense is the first wearable to offer such a feature. The company has not only announced the international pricing for all three products but also revealed the India prices in the official blog post. The flagship Fitbit Sense is priced at Rs. 33,999 while Fitbit Versa 3 will cost users Rs. 25,999 in India. The Fitbit Inspire 2 has been priced at Rs. 10,999. The devices will be available in India from October 2020.
