The Gujarat government is sparing no effort to boost tourism in the state. Statue of Unity (SoU) has already become one of the most attractive tourism centres of the state.

 Now, the Gujarat tourism department is coming up with another attraction at Kevadia. It will be a ferry service for tourists to enjoy boating in the Narmada river.

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be participating in the Ekta Parade on 31st October, will also inaugurate ferry service.

 The boat will be unveiled on 31st October. With this, tourists will be able to travel 6 km by water from Kevadia to the Statue of Unity. The boat can accommodate 200 to 300 people. However, currently, only 50 tourists will be permitted per hour following the guidelines for Covid- 19. A dining facility has also been arranged for the tourists. Tickets for the boat ride will be priced between Rs 250 and Rs 300. 

The boat will sail from Bharat Bhavan to the Statue of Unity. This will take an hour. A stage has been built in this boat for entertainment purposes.
