IMD: Rainfall all over India will be below 92 per cent in June

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced on Friday that rainfall in India will be ‘below normal’ in June, while temperatures in places such as Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Odisha, and northern India will be above normal.

While talking to media, RK Jenamani said, “In June, the rainfall all over India will be below 92 per cent, which is below normal. In states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Orissa, and northern India the temperature is likely to stay above normal, the probability that temperature will be above normal is 70-80 per cent.”

Earlier today, the IMD stated that the monsoon season in Kerala is predicted to begin on 4 June and will most likely be typical this year.
