Dilip Khedkar, a retired Maharashtra government officer and father of trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar, is currently evading authorities after he and his wife Manorama Khedkar faced legal action. This followed a viral video showing Manorama threatening people with a gun. The Pune Anti-Corruption Bureau has also started investigating allegations of disproportionate assets against Dilip Khedkar.

Documents reveal Dilip Khedkar had been suspended twice previously, in 2018 and 2020, due to corruption charges. In 2018, complaints from local associations accused him of demanding bribes to restore utilities for businesses. Further complaints in 2019 alleged he sought ₹20 lakh from a company. The suspension in 2020 cited multiple misconduct complaints and initiated an inquiry.

The spotlight on the Khedkars intensified after allegations surfaced regarding Puja Khedkar’s IAS selection under disability and OBC quotas, which were disputed due to inconsistencies in her disability claim verification. The Centre has now ordered an investigation into her selection process, leading to her training being halted.

Police are currently searching for Dilip Khedkar and his wife, who have become unreachable amidst these legal and investigative proceedings.
