Karishma Tanna has trumped Karan Patel and Dharmesh Yelande to win Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 10. In this season, Karishma’s aim was not just to overcome her fears but also spread the word of women empowerment by winning the title since no other woman managed to claim the title in the past 5 seasons.
On winning the show, Karishma shared a heartfelt note on Instagram. She wrote, “As I hold this trophy in my hand, I feel I am holding all the dreams I dared to dream. It feels like I am holding the dream of my mother. Coming from a simple conventional Gujarati family, it started with ‘She can’t do it, why does she want to do it? Get an education; get a more secured job, get married, now who will marry her? It’s a tough world out there. It’s a man’s world. How will she survive the competition… she has no Godfather, no connections.”
“Yes, I had none of those, but what I had and all young boys and girls who venture out of their safety zones to get to their goals have. They have the power to wake up and look beyond the doubts. The faith to look beyond the failure… I worked hard physically, mentally, technically. I worked in letting myself believe that yes we all are trying and only one will win but the experience will make us stronger, better and together,” she added.
Recalling her ‘winning moment’, Karishma expressed, “When Rohit Shetty sir announced my name, all I could feel is the love of my colleagues who rushed to me with no bias but only love, the same love and support, which I felt during every task.”
Before Khatron Ke Khiladi 10, Karishma Tanna was seen in shows like Naagin 3 and Qayamat Ki Raat. Her last venture on the big screen was Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Sanju.
Post the wrap of Khatron Ke Khiladi 10; the makers of the show have a huge surprise in store for the audiences. Premiering on Colors from 1 August, Khatron Ke Khiladi is all set to return with brand new season, which will witness some of the ex-contestants returning on the show. These include Rithvik Dhanjani, Harsh Limbachiya, Nia Sharma, Jasmin Bhasin among many others. Farah Khan will host this season.
